Embracing God's Thoughts Toward You

I have come to the conclusion lately that in order to embrace our life purpose and destiny we must clearly understand how God sees us. We can easily be misled by faulty perceptions and old thinking in need of transformation. When we consider the true heart of God, let us not be misguided and detoured by the blame game the world is placing upon God. Frankly, we can expend all our energy and efforts in what we can see rather than in what God has promised.

If we do not carefully approach today with the wisdom and revelation IN the knowledge of Him, we can easily be caught up with responses from our soul. What if we begin to live our lives through the lens of God's purposes toward us? What would our perceptions, thinking, and language reflect if we simply embraced God's thoughts toward us?

Jeremiah 29 explains God's heart toward us.

11...For I know the thoughts {makh-ash-aw-baw'}

(cunning work, purpose; in Hebrew it means to weave His purposes)
...that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace {shaw-lome'}...it does not mean an absence of conflict.  It means your welfare of health, prosperity, rest, and favor.
In Hebrew, it means to make restitution, restore, and reward {khaw-shab'}
This peace is different than John 14:27 where Jesus says, My Peace I give to you.  That word means quietness and rest.
...and not of evil, to give you an expected end (hope, reward).

Let's insert the meanings inside these scripture to give us greater understanding what the Father is saying to us:

"For I know the thoughts of cunning work that weaves your purposes with Mine that I think toward you," says the Lord, "thoughts of peace and the release of your greatest welfare of health, prosperity, rest and favor as I make restitution and restore and reward you that you may have a hope and reward."

12...Then (after you realize the reality of what My word is to you) you will call upon Me (you will not be able to help yourself), (CALL means to make a proclamation)...and you shall go and pray unto Me (He is calling us to a deeper place of prayer than ever before that is necessary to hear what God has to say to us and those assigned to us — great responsibility), and I will hear you.

God wrote this love story long ago, and every detail has unfolded according to His plan.  God has a plan for mankind, but particularly men.

This is the year that men will arise.

  • This is the year that men will step into something greater than themselves.
  • This is the year that men will see the purposes for which they were created come to pass.

Why?  Because God has turned His thoughts toward you.

  • He has never abandoned you.
  • He has refined you.
  • He has awakened you.
  • He has stirred your passion like never before.

I invite men to personalize this Jeremiah word, to understand God's intentions of restitution and reward reserved for us for this hour.  Our response must be to CALL UPON THE LORD as never before with a confident level of authority in the Spirit that will merge with all the voices of Aglow, both men and women, to take our position in the Spirit to be instruments of the Father in this hour.

I conclude by making a declaration of purpose for men stepping into our role within Aglow:

We don't come in to change anything.  We come as vessels that have been changed to help complete the purposes of Aglow as we stand ready in God's thoughts and intentions.
