Agreement With God's Word Over the Elections
Encouragement As We Pray
What an exciting time to be alive! As Men of Issachar, Aglow International, it is a privilege to be strategically placed in the earth to call forth the truth of God into all situations. We are beginning to hear the voice of God as never before. He is drawing us all into agreement with His heart.
Coming Into Agreement With God’s Word Over The Elections
Because this is the last newsletter scheduled to go out before the U.S. Presidential Elections on November 8th, I felt a real urgency to share what I hear the Father saying to my prayer focus on this important event. When we come into agreement with His heart, we can experience peace in the midst of every circumstance. If we are experiencing chaos and disorder around us, it may be that we are waiting for God to come into agreement with us.
My Thoughts Are Not Your Thoughts
The Word declares in Isaiah 55:8-11, …For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain comes down, and snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to me void, but shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing which I sent it.
Finding Peace And Agreement
The preceding verses are an invitation to all who are thirsty and who need discernment to hear the voice of God accurately. The Father wants to abundantly pardon (7) our lack of understanding to engage in agreement with His thoughts and ways. How? Incline your ear, and come to Me…HEAR (3) what the Father is saying. We are beckoned to seek Him and call upon Him from that place of intimacy. Forsake everything that contradicts that relationship. It is here that we will hear the voice of God and find peace and agreement.
We may not understand everything that God is doing, but He does encourage us to believe what He has said. The prophetic and written Word are road maps to the completion of what He intends to do. The craziness of this chaotic election season screams with voices and noises contrary to the soft, gentle, yet confident, voice of finality of the Father. If we focus on the former without upgrading to the latter, we will be tossed about, guided by our soul rather than our spirit.
Making The Choice To Believe What God Has Said
I am making a choice this election season, and I ask you to make the same one: Believe what God has said, and do not doubt. Do not be overwhelmed by what you see and hear in the natural. Distinguish between what is factual and what is truthful. A double-minded man cannot do this (James 1:8). Only a man whose mind is confidently committed to operating with the mind of Christ can be kept in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). We are exhorted to see beyond what the natural depicts, and look at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Cor. 4:18).
Agreement In Prayer Over The Elections
Therefore, let us all agree in prayer and declare that the facts cannot change the truth of God. Further, the facts can never change the truth of God; but the truth of God will ultimately change all facts to come under subjection to His intentions.
Continue to pray that…
- The truth will burn through the fog of deception and deceit.
- The truth will uncover all dishonesty, dishonor, and disillusionment in all the candidates, the news media, and political parties.
- The truth will replace the facts as the central criteria for voting choices.
- The truth will bring the light of Christ into every vote and every voting venue.
- The truth will guide all voters regardless of their current relationship with Christ.
- The truth will once again rule and reign over the United States of America.
The Declaration Of The Word Of God
Psalm 33:10-12…The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.
So be it unto us, according to Your Word. Amen.
